Bio

Paul Federico discovered his passion for oil painting at the age of nine under the guidance of William DeVieg, a renowned restoration painter. He further honed his craft at the Art Students League in Manhattan and earned a BFA from Parsons School of Design. Among his mentors was the influential Herman Rose, whose work was showcased alongside legends like Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock in the 1952 Museum of Modern Art exhibition, "15 Americans."

Today, Paul is a dedicated painter and printmaker specializing in surrealism and expressionism. His work reflects a deep connection to imaginative and emotional storytelling. Artist Statement

My art is deeply rooted in humanistic themes, both in subject matter and technique. Each piece is a testament to my creative journey, revealing layers of underlying paintings, sketch marks, brushstrokes, and surface textures. I invite viewers to witness this process, embracing the imperfections and beauty of creation. My hope is that my work inspires others to feel seen, connected, and uplifted by life’s infinite possibilities.
